Ecclesall Road A625

This project responds to a Tribune article about Ecclesall Road (A625) by placing a ghost bike at Hunters Bar roundabout - a personal and symbolic act referring to my own near-miss cycling accident on the roundabout. Research included attending a council organised public consultation on proposed road changes, where I witnessed public debate with council employees regarding shared frustration over the safety of cyclists and the poor cycling infrastructure. The project combines personal narrative, public discourse and site-specific intervention.

The ghost bike at Hunters Bar roundabout marks my own near-miss accident. Painted half white, it symbolises the close call - life not lost but a reminder of the dangers the roundabout poses to cyclists.
